A Glittery Headband Tutorial...and getting ready for a coming up Valentine's Day TV segment.

And the week is gone...I can't believe it! January is passing by so fast. At this point "busy" wouldn't be the right word to really express how I have really been. Is there a world like "over busy"? School and work are fun but I honestly would like to have at least thirty hours in a day instead of 24. Sounds good?

Valentine's Day is around the corner and the vibe is in the air. I am working on some easy projects that I will be teaching live to Glenn and Val at Daytime Toronto next Monday, January 24. Will you be home to watch live at 10 am? If not you can catch the re-run at 3 pm or record it and watch it later. It's going to be fun!

Today I am sharing a project nice enough to wear for Valentine's Day. A Glittery Headband Tutorial. Let's make it together!

MATERIALS:

Tulip® Fashion Glitter™ {Apple Red Jewel}
Aleene’s® Original Tacky Glue®
Craft Brush
Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
Heart Foam Cutouts
Headband {skinny}


INSTRUCTIONS:


1- The first thing you need to do is choose a skinny headband. 
2- Using your craft brush add a thin layer of glue to the heart foam cutouts.
3- Sprinkle enough Tulip® Fashion Glitter™ {Apple Red Jewel} to cover the whole surface. If necessary apply more than one layer after is dry.


TIP: Always place a sheet of paper under the project you are working on to catch the excess glitter. You can place it back in the container and use it later.

4- Let dry completely.
5- Repeat step 2 , 3 & 4 on your headband.
6- Using your glue gun add a small drop of glue on the back of your heart foam cutouts and adhere them to your headband. 
7- Slightly press on them for a moment to make sure they are set in place.


TIP: My heart foam cutouts are placed on the side of the headband as it's shown on the image above but you can place yours where you prefer.
