Using your craft materials wisely is key for achieving great designs but also a great way to use the most of them. I save every little piece, scrap or trim from my projects and organize them in plastic bags that go into boxes for later use.
This is a very easy and simple box to decorate using cut outs from a recycled tissue box, glitter and metallic trim. Let's put it together!
MATERIALS:
Craft Glue
Craft Brush
Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
Tissue Box
Metallic Trim
Glitter
Crafts Scissors
INSTRUCTIONS:
1- Open your tissue box flat making sure you do not damage the print.
2- Check and select the roses you want to use on your box.
TIP: I chose for my project the ones on the side of the box. They form a banner.
3- Use the banner as I did in mine or cut them out using your crafts scissors.
4- Using a craft brush spread a think layer of craft glue on the back of the cut out rose banner.
TIP: I glued mine on the center of the box but you an also glue it on the side. It will look as nice!
5- Glue your cut out rose banner to the center of the box.
6- Let it dry completely.
7- Using your craft brush dab small drops of craft glue on the rose print. This will more dimension to the image.
8- Sprinkle glitter on the glue dots.
9- Let dry completely.
11- Using your glue gun, adhere the piece to the box.
12- Select and cut using your crafts scissors a single rose.
TIP: You can place the cut out single rose on one of the sides. It will look as pretty!
Your decorated box is ready to fill with a special gift. Fill it up with tissue paper, shredded paper. Enjoy this craft project! And I also hope that from now on you will look at tissue boxes as great recyclable items to use in future projects.
IDEA: I have used mine to place a jewelry gift.
