How to turn your ribbon scraps into trendy bracelets.

What a wonderful warm weather week we had here in T.O.! It's time to re-organize your wardrobe and take out your favorite Spring outfits...and to add some new pieces if you can. Long and short sleeve T-Shirts are a favorite in mine.

While making this T-Shirt I ended up with some left over pieces of Tulip® Fashion Glitter™ Shimmer Transfer Sheets. Making the most of my craft materials is very important to me and always try to use every single bit of them.

But what could I make? Well, when wearing short sleeves in the warmer months I like to wear bracelets. They have been quite popular for quite sometime and are back again in the fashion scene this year. How about making a few?

Ribbons seemed to be the perfect fabric source. I have boxes with ribbons in different colours and textures. Also I have purchased assorted ribbons packs with some that don't seem to pick and use on my projects. The made the perfect choice to re-use and turn into ribbon scrap bracelets. Let's make
some!

GLITTERY RIBBON SCRAP BRACELET

MATERIALS:
Tulip® Fashion Glitter™ Shimmer Transfer Sheets
Cloth
Ribbons
Iron
Scissors

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Select the ribbon scraps you are going to use.
  2. Choose what Tulip® Fashion Glitter™ Shimmer Transfer Sheets colours you want for your bracelets.
  3. Measure your wrist using a scrap of ribbon around it. This is the actual size of your bracelet.
  4. You need to leave enough ribbon in both ends to be able to tie it to your wrist.
  5. Two to three inches is what I left in blue one {above image} but you can leave longer pieces if you wish.
  6. Using your scissors cut a piece of Tulip® Fashion Glitter™ Shimmer Transfer Sheet thick enough to place three ribbons on it. You are going to make more than one bracelet at a time.
  7. This piece should be the size of your wrist. Refer to step 3.
  8. Heat up your iron.
  9. Peel plaster cover off your Tulip® Fashion Glitter™ Shimmer Transfer Sheet.
  10. Place your ribbon scraps flat on your ironing surface.
  11. Place your Tulip® Fashion Glitter™ Shimmer Transfer Sheet on them.
  12. Make sure you place it in the center and leave those loose ends uncovered. They are the ties of your bracelets.
  13. Place your cloth on then iron and press firmly for about 40 seconds.
  14. Take a look and make sure the Tulip® Fashion Glitter™ Shimmer Transfer Sheet has been transferred on the ribbon scraps. If not repeat iron again.
  15. Let the piece cool off for a few minutes.
  16. Using your scissors cut and separate your new ribbon scrap bracelets.

I like to wear a few together for a more colourful statement. Enjoy!

We've been having wonderfully warm weather here, too, Gabriela. However, I am not ready to move out my wintery stuff just yet. Seems like, in these parts of the USA, we can get cold weather back in the early spring...so I have Springy-Winter stuff crammed in my closet for awhile.

Your bracelet idea is darling! I am terrible about wasting leftover crafty stuff....good for you for using them up!
