Emerald the colour of 2013. What do we know about this colour?

A new year... a new colour Emerald the colour of 2013. What do we know about this colour? It is also called Emerald Green and this tone is associated with the beautiful gemstone Emerald.

This particular colour is light and bright with a tint of blue. The May birthstone is Emerald...It is said that Emerald Green has been the colour of balance, beauty, growth, harmony, new life, prosperity, renewal...I find it very sophisticated.

I believe that green is a healing colour. In fact I love having many plants {in healing hues of green} at home and actually got my studio painted in green...it just feels amazingly fresh and positive!

Did you know that there are more greens than any other colours? Interesting, isn't it?

Would you add it to your home decor? I would personally love having Emerald Green glassware!

Would you wear it? I would enjoy having something in Emerald Green silk!
How do feel about the colour of 2013? Let's start a conversation.

I didn't know that was the color of 2013. I love green, too. Our guest room is painted a pretty green.

Don't be jealous, but I have the most gorgeous emerald green glasses. I used them for our Christmas dinner table. Be watching. I'm posting them Thursday.

Hi Gabriela. Happy New Year!!!

Green is a color that can go either way for me. I like the natural greens and some of the more acid greens (such as lime and chartreuse)I like teal green too but not a big fan of emerald green.

Hope you are well :-)
