VALENTINE'S DAY CUPCAKE LINER FLOWERS TUTORIAL

MATERIALS:
Cupcake Liners in red heart prints, yellow and white.
Scrapbooking Brads
Plastic Flowers
Pencil
Scissors
Reamer {to make holes in the center of your flowers and secure your brads}

INSTRUCTIONS:

I usually use five cupcake baking liners for my flowers but you can use more or less, it’s up to you.
Mixing patterns and colours will make your flowers more fun. Don’t be shy!
Having plain cupcake liners handy is a good idea as you can combine them with a variety of patterns. Nowadays there are so many choices available.
1- Start with five cupcake liners in different colours and patterns.
2- Making the template is very easy. All you need is a pencil and your basic drawing skills. My flowers have six petals.

TIP: Depending on how confident you are with your scissors, you can also cut the petals directly.

3- Fold your cupcake baking cup in half and draw three petals. You will then cut them up while your cupcake baking cup is still folded. Then open it and you will have your six petal flower!
4- Once you cut all your flowers you can start combining them. Try different colours and patterns together until you are happy with them.
5- To shape your flowers play with the petals, open them up and down to give more movement and volume to them.6- To put your flowers together make a small hole in the middle. Gather your plastic flowers and remove the centers {the come off very easily}. Pass a brad through your flowers and then through your cupcake baking cup flowers. Secure it at the back.
6- Let's make good use of your cupcake liner left over pieces. Waste not!
7- Gather them together combining all colours.
8- Using your Reamer pierce a hole in the mid section.
9- Pass a brad through it.
10- Pass it through the mid hole in your cupcake baking cup flower.
11- Open the brad arms on the back of the flower to secure it.
12- Your cupcake cut outs are in place.
13- Using your Craft Scissors cut them right on the fold like the images above.
14- One cupcake cut out will make two stems.
15- Once ready you can move and rearrange them slightly.

There are so many uses for Cupcake Liner Flowers. You can use them as git toppers.
