It's Craft Month and I would like to celebrated it with a Spring inspired tutorial. Have tons of cupcake liners at the studio in many colours and sizes. Also have a nice selection of plastic ballerinas I have collected over the years.
Signs of Spring are everywhere...think about garden parties...table decorations...cupcakes everywhere...How about a cute ballerina topper to decorate them? Isn't this ballerina adorable? Make your own!

MATERIALS:
Plastic
ballerinas {this one is about 2 inches tall}
Metallic trim
Cupcake
liners
Millinery
flowers
Glue
gun
Glue
sticks
Paper
scissors
INSTRUCTIONS:
Ballerinas
come in many colours. Choose your favorite one.
Choose
your favorite cupcake liner colour from your stash.
Plug
your glue gun and warm it up.
Using
your paper scissors cut it open on the side only where pleats are.
TIP: Some cupcake liners are soft and others sturdy. If
sturdy you can glue it directly. If it's soft you would pleat it a little to
add movement to it and then glue it to the ballerina's waist.
- Cut a cupcake liner open.
- Cut out the center.
- Add a few drops of glue on the waist of your ballerina's tutu.
- Place the end of your cut cupcake liner and glue to it.
- Press softly with your fingers to make sure it is set in place.
- Attach the cupcake liner all around the ballerina's waist and wrap around the cupcake liner.
- Choose your favorite millinery flower from your stash. Use as many as you like.
- Using your paper scissors cut the stem off.
- Using the glue gun add a small dot of glue and start attaching trim around the waist of your ballerina's cupcake liner tutu.
- Repeat step 9 and attach a millinery flower to it.

This is such a cute idea. I've never seen anything like this before! It would be fun and easy...I think!
This is a wonderful tutorial, Gabriela. My grandma used to make birthday cakes for me with this same type of ballerina on it - I would love to try this updated version for one of my daughters.
I am in love with these Garbriela. Image a cupcake topped with one of those adorable ballerinas on one of my vintage pedestal cupcake stands. How special would that be for someone? I am pinning this to my cupcake board. So so cute!
Oh my goodness...these are beyond lovely!! What a darling idea...happy weekend my friend. xo
